DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive Las Vegas Welcome to lively Las Vegas, Nevada. You will be transferred to your hotel. Your Tour Director will be available this afternoon to welcome you. This evening, get together for a Welcome Drink with your fellow traveling companions.

Day 2: Las Vegas/Zion National Park/Bryce Canyon Journey through St. George before reaching spectacular Zion National Park to visit this lush green valley. Next, on to Bryce Canyon National Park, where sandstone spires reflect colorful hues from every vista point. Visit the amphitheater of "hoodoos," the oddly shaped stone monoliths. (FB,D)

Day 3: Bryce Canyon/Park City Drive north to Salt Lake City, headquarters of the Mormon religion. An orientation tour includes Temple Square and the Joseph Smith Building. Then on to Park City, home of the famous Sundance Film Festival. (FB)

Day 4: Park City/Jackson Travel across the Oregon Trail en route to Jackson, Wyoming. There is time to wander through this authentic western town. Why not stop for a drink at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar with its authentic saddle barstools? This evening enjoy a specialty dinner at a local restaurant in the town square. (FB,D)

Day 5: Jackson/Grand Tetons/Yellowstone National Park Drive through scenic Grand Teton National Park on the way to Yellowstone National Park. The beauty of this geothermal wonderland is a remarkable sight to behold. Keep an eye open for wildlife such as moose and buffalo – and perhaps even spot a bear! (FB,D)

NOTE: Weather conditions permitting, the South Entrance to Yellowstone National Park is open from mid-May to mid-October. When the South Entrance is closed, the tour will enter Yellowstone National Park through the West Entrance.

Day 6: Yellowstone National Park A full day tour of Yellowstone National Park features the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River with the 407-foot Lower Falls, Hayden Meadow, Midway Geyser Basin, mud pots, hot pools, fumaroles and the blast of Old Faithful geyser, which erupts about every hour. Day 7: Yellowstone/Cody/Billings This morning, head to Cody, named after its most famous resident, Buffalo Bill Cody. Learn about his life and his wild west adventures at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Then continue to the historic cattle town of Billings, Montana. (FB,D)

Day 8: Billings/Deadwood/Rapid City Stop first at Little Bighorn National Monument, site of "Custer's Last Stand," where in 1876, General Custer and his few men faced several thousand Native Americans in battle. Then on to Deadwood, South Dakota to visit Tatanka – Story of the Bison, a modern interpretive center focusing on the importance of the bison to the Plains Indians. Finally, travel to Rapid City. Day 9: Black Hills Excursion This morning journey through the Black Hills, stopping at the immense Crazy Horse Memorial which honors all Native Americans. Also learn the story behind Mount Rushmore, followed by incredible views of this fabulous sculpture depicting four great American presidents. (FB)

Day 10: Rapid City/Denver Drive through the Black Hills National Forest where Ponderosa pines, spruce and aspen forests provide a home for a variety of wildlife. Then continue through the National Grassland prairies of South Dakota and Wyoming on the way to Colorado's capital, Denver, also known as the “Mile-High City.” This evening, join your fellow traveling companions for a Farewell Dinner. Day 11: Depart Denver Transfer to Denver International Airport for your homebound flight. (FB)
