ITINERARY

Day 1 August 29, 13, Depart USA Our Spiritual Journey to Lisbon begins as we depart the USA on the transatlantic flight, complimentary meals & beverages served on board.

Day 2 August 30, 13, Arrive Lisbon On arrival in Lisbon, the Tour Manager will welcome you to Portugal and will take you on a panoramic city tour of Lisbon. We will visit the Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua, St. Jeronimo's Monostery and the famous Belem Tower and then you will be transferred to your hotel. Dinner will be served in the hotel. (D)

Day 3 August 31,13, Lisbon-Santarem-Fatima Today we continue to Santarem, site of the oldest Eucharistic miracles in the world. We will visit the church of Marvila (Mass in Santarem). We then continue on to Fatima. Upon arrival you can relax in your hotel or participate in evening candlelight procession. Dinner and overnight .(B,D)

Day 4 September 01, 13, Fatima Today we will spend the day in Fatima. We celebrate Mass at Little Chapel of the Apparitions. After Mass we tour the Basilica site of Francesco and Jacinta tombs and Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We continue to Hamlet of Aljustrel and Valinhos, we see the two homes of the little shepherds. In the afternoon return to Fatima for personal devotions. Join pilgrims from all over the world in the evening candlelight procession to pray the rosary. (B,D)

Day 5 September 02, 13, Fatima-Santiago de Compostela This morning we leave Fatima for Santiago de Compostela. We will visit the Cathedral of St. James the Apostle. The relics of St. James are enshrined in the crypt beneath the high altar in the silver coffer, tourch the central pillar, and admire the wealth of medieval art inside the Cathedral. Visit the Cloister museum. Celebrate, Mass at the local church. (B,D)

Day 6 September 03,13, Santiago de Compostela-Burgos After breakfast depart Santiago de Compostela for Burgos. Burgos is known as the cradle of the Castile region. Upon arrival we will visit the Cathedral of Burgos, the third largest church in Spain. Celebrate, Mass at the local church. (B,D)

Day 7 September 04, 13, Burgos-Garabandal-Bilbao Today, a day excursion to Garabandal. Since June 18, 1961, littel has changed in this rural town, when four children had an apparition first of an Angel to prepare the children for the Virgin's visit. The Blessed Virgin visitied the children from July 2, 1961 sporadically until November 13, 1965. We will visit the Miracle sight. Celebrate, Mass at the local church. Later return to Bilbao. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B,D)

Day 8 September 05, 13, Bilbao-Loyola-San Sebastian-Lourdes This morning we depart Bilbao for Loyola. We will visit the birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits. We will see the 17th century Basilica dedicated to St. Ignatius. Celebrate, Mass at the Basilica. We stop in San Sebastian, one of the most attractive cities on the Cantabrian coast. We then continue on to Lourdes. You can participate in the nightly rosary and candlelight procession. (B,D)

Day 9 September 06, 13, Lourdes During our stay in Lourdes, we will visit the historical and spiritual sites associated with Bernadette, the visionary child of Lourdes. After Mass at the shrine we continue on a walking tour visiting the Basilica of St. Pius X, the world's largest undergound church, Boly Mill, Soubirous family home, the Basilica of the Rosary, Miraculous Spring and the healing baths. Day 10 September 07, 13, Lourdes-Zaragoza-Madrid This morning, we will visit the shirne of Our Lady of the Pillar which is the second most popular pilgrimage site in Spain. Tradition holds that Our Lady, while still alive, appeared to St. James at the Ebero River to encourage him in his evangelization. As a sign of her protection, Mary, it is said, left him the pillar with her statue. We see the Chapel of the Virgin, Assumption of the Virgin marble statue and the Chapel of the Virgin, Assumption of the Virgin marble statue and other numerous chapels and artworks. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica. We then continue on to Madrid. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B,D)

Day 11 September08, 13, Madrid We will have a panoramic city tour and view the Old City, the elegant squares of Puerto Del Sol, Alcala's Gate, Memorial Park, Retiro and the famous bullring. We stop by the Royal Palace and Gardens for pictures and time at leisure before returning to the hotel. (B,D)

Day 15 September 09, 13 Madrid-USA This morning our pilgrimage comes to an end. After breakfast, transfer to airport for your return flight to the USA. (B)
