ITINERARY

Day 1 USA/Athens Our Spiritual Journey to Athens begins as we depart the USA on our transatlantic flight.

Day 2 Athens Upon arrival you will be greeted by your Tour Guide.  Half day sightseeing tour of Athens including the Acropolis.  Rest of the day is to relax.  Later we take our flight to Tel Aviv. (D)

Day 3 Athens/Tel Aviv/Jerusalem Visit the Old city of Jerusalem, including the Temple Area, the Dome of the Rock, el Aqsa Mosque and the Wailing Wall.  Enter the restored Jewish Quarter and walk along the excavated Cardo, once a main street of ancient Jerusalem.  Enjoy touring the Herodian Mansions, a complex of villas from 2,000 years ago before returning to your hotel.  Rest of the day is at leisure. Day 4 Qumran/Masada/Dead Sea Qumran (Dead sea scrolls) continue on to Masada.  On way back to Jerusalem stop at Dead Sea for float. (B,D)

Day 5 Jerusalem/Old City/Mount Zion Jerusalem old city (Church of St. Anne, the Pools of Bethesda, follow stations of the Cross to the Church of Holy Sepulcher to visit Golgotha and the Tomb of Our Lord Jesus.  Walk through the Cardo to the Western Wall.  Mt. Zion (Room of the Last Supper, House of Caiaphas and Church of St. Peter). (B,D)

Day 6 Mount of Olives/Bethlehem/Eni Karem Mount Olives church of Pater Noster down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church, Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Bethlehem - (Church of the Nativity, Holy Manger and Basilica of St. Catherine. way back stop in Ein Karem (Church of Visitation). (B,D)

Day 7 Mt. Tabor/Megiddo/Jaffa Mt. Tabor (Jesus transfiguration) Megiddo (archaeological mound) Jaffa (St. Peter's Church) . (B,D)

Day 8 Galilee/Capernaum/Mt. Beatitudes/River Jordan Explore sites along the sea of Galilee. Capernaum (Jesus preached in the synagogue, St. Peter's House, Mount of Beatitudes and Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied loaves of bread and fist, baptismal site at River Jordan.  Boat ride on the sea of Galilee. Day 9 Caesarea/Mt. Carmel/Cana/Nazareth Caesarea (Roman Temple, royal palace, amphitheater and public buildings. Continue to Haifa and Mt. Carmel (Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery and Elijah's Cave. on to Cana (site where Jesus performed his first public miracle. Nazareth (Church of Annunciation, Holy Grotto and Church of St. Joseph). Day 10 Tel Aviv/USA This morning our pilgrimage comes to an end.  After breakfast, transfer to airport for your return flight to the USA. (B)
